Upcoming Hash event FYI

(Sunshine Coast-Powell River-Lund Hash)
(Lund is on the Sunshine Coast of BC, 28km north of Powell River which is north of Vancouver)

Oh my gods!  Where does the time go?!   The 2007 SPLHash will be the fifth (FIFTH already!!) annual run.  Let’s celebrate by making a           REAL SPLHASH - in a hot tub!!  Yup, among other things, plans are in the works to have a 5-person (20 hasher) hot tub for 2007.  There may be other “treats” as well but we’ll leave that to surprise.

When? Sunday, October 7th, 2007 at 2pm in Lund, BC.

Your hosts, Nipple Detector and Annie Cockledoo (formerly of Calgary Hash House Harriers), are once again planning a whale of a shiggy run to be followed by downdowns, booing and beer spraying, possible group shower, and a West Coast-style Thanksgiving dinner.  There may be a spectacular sunset in there somewhere too.

This year, your registration will include the usual post-run munchies, beer, wine, a bucket of large peel-and-eat prawns, barbecued oysters with various sauces, maybe some sautéed scallops, barbecued salmon, crisp roasted turkey, stuffing and fixins, mashed taters, sprouts, more beer, and homemade blackberry pie.   Belllllch!  Rumour has it that a local eating “establishment” may host the dinner indoors if the weather is inclement.

Hash T-shirts

We are asking for an expression of interest from Kamloops Hashers re T-shirts, we are looking into acquiring T-shirts with Kamloops logo etc in cool max fabric, anticipated price under $10. This is most likely a several months or more away however we need to have an idea as to the number of shirts and sizes needed. Please respond with a yes or no and the appropriate size, also the quantity in case you want more than one. Thank you

July Hash Recap

Gooooooood Hash! Challenging for this out of shape body especially dealing with the mud, cow pies, creek etc. A fine event attended by ten hardy hashers. BBQ’d smokies and corn followed. No rules violations were reported during the circle, names were bestowed upon myself “Hulkster” and Brian Mearon “Choo Choo”. A little wet but didn’t dampen spirits a good time was had.

Next hash August 10^th location TBA hares Squat & Lost and Found.

July Hash Update

As received.....

as you drive east on hiway 1, the four lane hiway ends, into 2 lanes ,keep driving east. you will drive past a couple ranches that line both sides of the hiway ,as you drive around a curve in the hiway, the ranches are gone on both sides, on the left is the river on the right there is a tree covered bank, as you continue east for approx. 1 km ,you will see that the bank on the right side of the hiway has slid down to the hiway, the drive way is about 100 meters past the slide on the right hand side. there is a big steel gate made out of 3 inch pipe, the drive way goes up on an angle, you'll see a fuel barrel and a steel sided shop, at the top. I’ll put a sign out with three big h’s on it by the gate. if you get to the pritchard store you have gone past the drive way by about 2 km's. see you there.
