Hey Hashers,

 

A great run last Thursday, and an awesome turnout - 27 runners!!!  That's the most we've seen in a while.  To enjoy the summer months just a little more, we're going to see how we do with two runs in the month of August.  You probably already know about the Outpost Run being set by Nothing out in Sorrento, but to accommodate those who can't make it, we'll also be setting an in-town run earlier in the month.

 

So, Thursday, the 12th of August, we'll be having an in-town run.  It'll be up Rose Hill again, but this will be a farmland run further up the hill (details to follow).  Usual 6pm start time, and followed by a cook-out on site - burgers & smokies.  $5 for the run, an additional $5 if you want food.  Nothing says summer like hashing, beer & bbq...in the sun!!!!  :-)

 

Also, Saturday, the 21st of August, our Outpost Run in Sorrento with Nothing taking on hosting duties.  You're welcome to camp overnight (tent, trailer, etc.).  The run gets underway at 4pm, circle at 5'ish, and dinner at 6pm.  It's a Potluck Thai dinner, so bring your favourite Thai/Asian dish. Nothing will also have a big pot of curry and another of rice on, so there will be plenty for all.  Directions to Nothing's property will coming your way soon.

More Hash info

The Hare came to download some pictures of the start location that he took with his cell phone but we could not do it.

 

So I drove up Rosehill Road more than 2.2 Kilometres to the tennis courts, Frisbee disc golf and mailboxes and took these shots. I do not think anyone will have difficulty finding the start location. It is on the right hand side. Driving up Rosehill Road you will notice the power lines going overhead the turn is around the bend.

Thursday Hash 6 PM

The instructions for this Thursday Hash are as follows.

 

Come up the Rosehill Road about 2.7 kilometres to the Frisbee Disc Golf and Tennis Courts parking lot that are on the right side of the road and park.

 

Do not blame Choo Choo about the distance as he gave me the information.

Hey Hashers,

 

Should be a great hash this Thursday - Pitbull will be setting a superb run, and the weather will be brilliant...all leading to perfect beer drinking conditions.

 

I ran an idea by the Committee, and the response is positive - so this Thursday we will be adding a couple more songs to the Circle.  Apparently Hash Songs falls under my umbrella, and I wouldn't want to shirk my duties!!

 

I've attached a song list, so feel free to print it and bring it with you...so you'll know the words.  This time around, we'll be going with our usual (the first one) and the second and third songs (Publicly Pissed On & Born So Beautiful).  I'll try to remember to print a couple of copies to bring along too.

Next Hash Thursday July 15th 6 PM

hash will be at the disc golf course. rose hill road, not as far up as last month's run. go up the hill ,just before the houses there is a parking lot on the right hand side, basket ball ,tennis court there. disc golf course is on the left side of the road. looks like the city chipped up the dead bug kill pine tree's there. I’ll send pic's later.  the course will be on bush trails ,similar to trails around Peterson creek.

Greetings Hashers & Happy Canada Day,

 

For your viewing and entertainment pleasure, the latest Hash Trash (Run 40) and Hash Pics are up on the website.  It was a great time, as seen in the photo evidence.

 

Our next hash of course is coming up in two weeks (note the day change) on Thursday July 15th - the usual start time at 6pm - to be hared by Pitbull.  We're trying a Thursday to enable people to get away on the weekend if they have alternate plans.  FYI, info on August's outpost run is also on the Hareline - check the website.
